Istikhara Dua
Istikhara Dua: Istikhara means to seek or ask for good from Allah Subhan wa Ta’ala. Istikhara Dua means to pray to Allah subhan wa ta’ala for good.
This means that when we intend to do an important work, we first do Istikhara, that is, we pray to Allah Subhan wa Ta’ala saying, “O Allah, You are the Knower of the Unseen, so help me in this work, that this work is my right.” Is it better or not?
Namaz Istikhara Dua
When we go to do something new, we get confused whether it will benefit or harm us. So in this we consult and take the opinion of others. Take advice from others.
Why not take advice from the one who has all the best in his power. Why not ask Allah for improvement.

| اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْتَخِيرُكَ بِعِلْمِكَ وَأَسْتَقْدِرُكَ بِقُدْرَتِكَ، وَأَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ فَضْلِكَ الْعَظِيمِ، فَإِنَّكَ تَقْدِرُ وَلاَ أَقْدِرُ وَتَعْلَمُ وَلاَ أَعْلَمُ وَأَنْتَ عَلاَّمُ الْغُيُوبِ اللَّهُمَّ إِنْ كُنْتَ تَعْلَمُ أَنَّ هَذَا الأَمْرَ خَيْرٌ لِي فِي دِينِي وَمَعَاشِي وَعَاقِبَةِ أَمْرِي فَاقْدُرْهُ لِي وَيَسِّرْهُ لِي ثُمَّ بَارِكْ لِي فِيهِ وَإِنْ كُنْتَ تَعْلَمُ أَنَّ هَذَا الأَمْرَ شَرٌّ لِي فِي دِينِي وَمَعَاشِي وَعَاقِبَةِ أَمْرِي فَاصْرِفْهُ عَنِّي وَاصْرِفْنِي عَنْهُ، وَاقْدُرْ لِي الْخَيْرَ حَيْثُ كَانَ ثُمَّ أَرْضِنِي بِهِ | Allahumma innee astakheeruka bi ‘ilmika wa astaqdiruka bi qadratika wa as’aluka min fadlika al-’adheem fa innaka taqdiru wa la aqdiru wa ta’lamu wa la a’lamu wa anta ‘allaam ul-ghuyoob. Allahumma in kunta ta’lamu anna haadha al-amra khayrun lee fee deenee wa ma’aashee wa ‘aaqibati amree faqdurhu lee wa yassirhu lee thumma baarik lee feehi wa in kunta ta’lamu anna haadha al-amara sharrun lee fee deenee wa ma’aashee wa ‘aaqibati amree fasrifhu ‘annee wasrifnee ‘anhu waqdur lee al-khayra haythu kaana thumma ardinee bih | O Allah, I seek Your guidance (in making a choice) by virtue of Your knowledge, and I seek ability by virtue of Your power, and I ask You of Your great bounty. You have power, and I do not. You know, and I know not, and You are the Knower of the unseen. O Allah, if You know that this matter [mention the thing to be decided] is good for me in my religion, my livelihood, my worldly affairs, and in the hereafter then decree it for me, make it easy for me, and bless it for me. And if You know that this matter is bad for me in my religion, my livelihood, my worldly affairs, and in the hereafter then turn it away from me and turn me away from it, and decree for me the good wherever it may be and make me content with it. First perform ablution
Make the intention of 2 rakat nafl istikhara, that is, make the intention that this task is in front of me and decide what is in my favor.

Method of reading 2 Rakat Nafl
- In the first rak’at, Surah Al-Fatiha is followed by Surah Kafiroon
- Read Surah Al-Ikhlas after Surah Al-Fatiha of the second Rak’at.
After salam, recite Dua Istikhara. If you remember the supplication, read it orally; if you don’t remember, you can read it by sight.
Read in Arabic language and if you cannot read in Arabic then you can also read its translation in your own language. That is, in Urdu or English.
It is better to do istikhara for three to seven days, if there is any indication, then skip istikhara.
This signal may not be found on the first day. Otherwise, continue this process. Because there is no time set for it, that is, no duration is allotted.
Continue this process until the heart freezes until it stops. There is no time for istikhara. However, it is better to do Istikhara before going to sleep at night when there is a moment of sleep.
The state of Istikhara, sleep with ablution, if the dream shows any white or green sign, then it is better for you. If you see red or black color, it is not right for you.
It is necessary to dream, the main thing is the heart’s desire and the satisfaction of the heart. Do istikhara and give advice, Allah subhan wa ta’ala will improve the work.

جب ہم کوئی نیا کام کرنے جاتے ہیں تو اس میں کنفیوز ہو جاتےہیں کہ اس میں ہمیں کوئی فائدہ ہو گا یا نقصان ہوگا۔ تو اس میں ہم مشورہ کرتے ہیں دوسروں کی رائے لیتے ہیں۔دوسروں سے مشورہ لیتے ہیں۔
کیوں نہ مشورہ اس ذات سے لیں جس کی قدرت میں تمام بہتریاں ہیں۔ کیوں نہ اللہ سے بہتری کا سوال کیا جائے ۔
آئیے استخارہ کیسے کرتے ہیں
سب سے پہلے وضو کرلیں
٢ رکعت نفل استخارہ کی نیت کریں یعنی نیت یہ کریں کہ یا اللہ میرے سامنے یہ کام ہے اس میں میرے حق میں جو ہے اس کا فیصلہ کر دیں
٢رکعت نفل پڑھنے کا طریقہ کار
پہلی رکعت میں سورۃ فاطحہ کے بعد سورۃ کافروں پرھیں
دوسری رکعت کے سورۃ فاطحہ کے بعد سورۃ اخلاص پڑھیں۔
سلام پھیرنے کے بعد دعا استخارہ پڑھیں۔ اگر دعااستخارہ یاد ہے تو زبانی پرھیں اگر یاد نہیں تو دیکھ کر بھی پڑھ سکتے ہیں۔
عربی زبان مین پڑھیں اور اگر عربی میں نہیں پڑھ سکتے تو اس کا ترجمہ بھی پڑھ سکتے ہیں اپنی زبان میں۔ یعنی اردو یا انگلش میں۔
اس دعا کے اول آخر درود پاک پڑھ لیں بہتر یہ ہے کہ استخارہ تین سے سات دن تک پابندی سے کریں اگر کوئی اشارہ مل جاے تو استخارہ چھوڑ دیں۔
یہ اشارہ چاہے پہلے دن ہی کیوں نہ ملے جائے۔ ورنہ یہ عمل جاری رکھیں۔ کیونکہ اس کیلئے کوئی ٹائم مقرر نہیں ہے یعنی کوئی دورانیہ مختص نہیں ہے۔
جب تک دل جم نہ جائے تا ٹک نہ جائے یہ عمل جاری رکھیں استخارے کے بعد دل جس طرف مائل ہو بس لگ جائیں انشاء اللہ خیر ہو گی ۔ استخارے کا کوئی وقت نہیں۔ البتہ بہتر یہ ہے کہ رات میں سونے سے پہلے جب یک سوئی کا لمحہ ہو تو استخارہ کر کے سو جائے۔
استخارہ کی حالت، وضو کے ساتھ سوجائے اگر خواب کوئی کوئی سفید یا سبز قسم کی نشانی ظاہر ہو تو وہ تمھارے لیے بہتر ہے ۔ اگر سرخ یا کالا رنگ دیکھیں تو وہ تمھارے حق مین نہیں ہے۔
خواب آنا لازمی ہےاصل بات قلبی رجھان اور دل کا اطمینان ہے استخارہ کے ساتھ ساتھ مشورہ کرنا بھی سنت ہے ۔ استخارہ بھی کریں اور مشورہ بھی کریں اللہ سبحان و تعالیٰ کام میں بہتری کرے گا۔

O Allah!
I seek goodness from Your Knowledge and with Your Power (and Might) I seek strength, and I ask from You Your Great Blessings because You have the Power and I do not have the power. You Know everything and I do not know, and You have knowledge of the unseen.
If in Your Knowledge this action (which I intend to do) is better for my religion and faith, for my life and end [death], for here [in this world] and the hereafter then make it destined for me and make it easy for me and then add blessings in it, for me.
In Your Knowledge if this action is bad for me, bad for my religion and faith, for my life and end [death], for here [in this world] and the hereafter then turn it away from me and turn me away from it and whatever is better for me, ordain [destine] that for me and then make me satisfied with it.
